• Early this morning, about 2 a.m., I was up coughing and nursing whatever this crud is I have, when I heard  the familiar-beep, beep, beep, beep of a large truck backing up. I thought to myself, that is either a fire truck or a wrecker and so I was compelled to get up and investigate. It was a wrecker hooking up my neighbor's car across the street, and I thought to myself, that is either a repo or a very brazen car thief.

  • I suspect everyone experiences discouragement from time to time. Life is hard! Whenever we put the prefix “dis” in front of a root word, it negates the root word. So dis-couragement means no courage, People who have lost their courage cannot win the fight because they don’t even want to enter the fight. Now, there are  levels of discouragement. Sometimes, but not usually, it may reach a  level of despair, even for believers.
